Here’s an update on burglary locally. On The 7th July a resident called Police at 1.30am stating that they had seen a man in their Garden after being alerted by their ‘Ring’ camera. The man then picked up an e-bike and lifted it over the fence (causing damaging) Police arrived on scene approx. 5 minutes later and viewed cctv footage of the incident. A search of the surrounding area was carried out, and a suspect matching the description was stopped on the stolen bike. On being stopped the suspect then made off from Police. Little did they know that a police dog unit was also involved, and the dog was released and quickly detained the suspect. The bike has been returned to its rightful owner and the suspect has been charged with theft, criminal damage, and making off from police Across London, we’re now arresting more than 1,000 extra criminals every month and seeing local crimes like burglary, robbery and theft start to fall, with ‘neighbourhood crime’ down 14%.
